WHO IS OTTO VAN TRUX?

Otto Van Trux is a band born out of a global pandemic and the collective boredom of a bunch seasoned musicians who decided to make some noise—mostly to distract themselves from the aches and pains of aging. The project kicked off when studio partners and songwriters Kent Peterson and Mark Slocum found themselves with way too much free time at 8VB Recording (because, you know, modern viruses are more contagious than enthusiasm, and sanitizing expensive mics is expensive). With time on their hands, they roped in their neighbor and guitarist (with the most glorious hair) Dan Parsons, along with keyboard legend Jim Prepodnik, to form what might be the most fun they’ve had since the Before Times and gigs were a thing.

Supported by a motley crew of talented performers including Kirk Hall (drums) Todd Marx (guitar), Ian Menchaka (vocals), Sara Liebl (vocals), and the legendary Harry Pulver (guitars- RIP, God we miss you Harry), they shoved their collective musical egos into the studio and birthed Walk Through Walls. Yea, it took 5 years, shut up.

Walk Through Walls is a messy, glorious mishmash of rock, country, and funk, delivered with their signature sarcasm and self-deprecating humor and includes tales of love lost, too much whisky, CIA documents, shady people, food as sex and your guitar being your only friend- Otto Van Trux knows you’ll find something to love in this collection!
